Amazing Birding Trip to Ecuador

March, 2011

Part 6: Tandayapa

We left Bella Vista and in short order were at Tandayapa Lodge. It was a great place for hummers, and had some wonderful bird-watching platforms.

We saw a good variety of birds at Tandayapa. Sometimes things were slow, and then we would have an explosion of stuff all over.

While wandering around looking for birds, we kept coming across beautiful butterflies.

From Tandayapa, we returned to Quito for the night; then we would head to the Amazon side of the Andes.
